Apple Pie Spice Popcorn

Popcorn is a high-fiber, low calorie snack that turns into a vehicle for nutrients when topped with delicious and nutritious spices.  This recipe features cardamom which has been shown to support the reduction of breast cancer cells.

  • 4 cups popped popcorn


  • 2 tablespoons melted non-dairy butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste

Combine butter, honey and spice in a glass and melt for 5-10 seconds in a microwave. Pour over popcorn and add salt and pepper to taste.

Thank you! Very informative! I never knew this about secpis and I will give it a try. Perhaps it will work better than in the oven when I have to toast almonds I burn them almost every time. But of course I need to first get a small skillet.
