Cauliflower is Breast Cancer Protective

Cauliflower and other Brassica vegetables contain phytochemicals that are protective against hormone sensitive breast cancer.  Studies are finding that they are also particularly effective at protecting postmenopausal women against breast cancer development.

These naturally occurring nutrients in Brassica family vegetables reduce specific estrogen metabolites such as alpha-hydroxyestrone, that promote breast tumor growth.

Brassica vegetables include cabbage, turnips, kohlrabi, brussels sprouts, cauliflower and broccoli.
