This refreshing, spicy version of lemonade can be made with lemon or lime segments. Both are complementary with ginger and sparkling water, and are ultra-refreshing.
Ginger is a mild anti-inflammatory and provides antioxidants that support the immune system. This drink also counters the damaging effect of dehydration, the most common cause of fatigue.
1 cup ice cubes, made with filtered water
1 teaspoon ginger powder
2 cups sparkling water
1 teaspoon xylitol
½ lemon or lime, peeled
Combine ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
