Piña Colada Smoothie

This is a classic combination. The tropical flavors really complement each other and bring the taste of the islands right into your kitchen.

Plus, components of coconut are currently being studied for their health properties and as a treatment for bacterial infections such as pneumovirus, staph, and strep—the most common illnesses brought home from schools every year. Pina Colada Smoothie not only helps fight off infections but it’s a tasty pick-me-up after a long day of school to help energize the kids until dinner.

1 ½ cups pineapple nectar

1 cup ice cubes

½ cup coconut milk

½ cup pineapple chunks

Combine ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
