Smoothie For Sleep

Sweet and creamy with a hint of maple, this smoothie works well as part of a ritual to prepare for sleeping. Kids love it too so it’s the perfect snack to have an hour before a nap or before bed. Milk contains tryptophan, which is the amino acid known for inducing sleep.

1 cup organic milk

1 frozen banana

½ cup frozen cherries

¼ cup nonfat dry milk powder or cottage cheese

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Combine ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
